    TECH SENIORS is a service provider of technology lessons designed to help older adults learn and navigate modern technology through personalized, one-on-one instruction.

  2. Who are the instructors?
    Our instructors are experienced, patient, and specially trained to teach seniors at their own pace.

  3. What topics do you cover?
    We cover a wide range of topics, from basic computer skills and smartphone use to more advanced topics like social media, online security, video calling, and even digital hobbies.

  4. Do I need any prior experience with technology?
    No prior experience is necessary. We tailor our lessons to your starting level and personal goals.

  5. Do I have to be over 65 to qualify for services?

    Absolutely not. TECH SENIORS will gladly provide services to anyone who seeks them. Whether you are 55 or 75.

  6. Do I have to supply my own devices?

    Although TECH SENIORS has a limited supply of loaner devices, we encourage you to bring or supply your own laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

  7. Do I have to have Medi-Care to qualify for services?

    TECH SENIORS is not affiliated with Medi-Care at this time. So whether you have Medi-Care or not, you can sign up for lessons or workshops.

Service Details

  1. How does the Traveling Tech Tutor Service work?
    Our instructors can travel to your home and provide five one-on-one lessons over a weekend. We arrange the instructor's travel and accommodations.

  2. Can lessons be customized?
    Yes, lessons are fully customizable to focus on the topics you want to learn.

  3. Do you offer virtual lessons?
    Yes, for those who prefer remote learning, we offer virtual one-on-one sessions via Zoom or other platforms.

  4. What if I only need help with a specific device?
    No problem! We work closely with a tech support provider to focus on the device or software you need help with, whether it's a smartphone, tablet, computer, or smart home device.

  5. Do you offer subscription options?

    Yes, TECH SENIORS offers the option to either subscribe to a monthly subscription (6 month minimum) that brings the price of each lesson down or an annual subscription (12 months paid in advance) that brings the price of each lesson down even more.

Pricing and Payment

  1. How much do lessons cost?
    Pricing varies depending on the type of service. Visit our pricing page or contact us for specific rates.

  2. What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept credit/debit cards, PayPal, and cash or checks for in-person sessions.

  3. Are there discounts for multiple lessons?
    Yes, we offer flexible pricing options for our lessons. We also offer package deals for multiple sessions. For example, as you bundle lessons the price for each lesson decreases. Visit our pricing page or contact us to learn more.

Scheduling and Availability

  1. How do I book a lesson?
    You can sign up for a lesson directly through our website here or by contacting us via phone or email at (510) 342-9433 or info@tech-seniors.com.

  2. What is your cancellation policy?
    Lessons can be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session may incur a 30% cancellation fee.

  3. What areas do you serve?
    Our direct in-home lessons are offered throughout the whole Bay Area, however our main service area is the South Bay and peninsula. Traveling Tech Tutors are available in most major cities. Virtual lessons are available everywhere.

  4. Where do you provide the lessons?

    If you’d like a one-on-one private lesson, one of our qualified instructors comes to you in the comfort of your own home. We also offer workshops at local community organizations if you prefer a classroom setting with other like-minded seniors seeking to accomplish the similar tech goals.

Technical Support

  1. Do you offer technical support for devices?
    While we focus on teaching, we can assist with basic troubleshooting during lessons. For ongoing support, we partner with a tech support provider if you have further tech support needs.
